Area Manager jobs

The purpose of this role is to ensure the ongoing customer excellence and profitability of our confectionery retail branches. Managing risks, identifying opportunities as well as instilling customer centricity through regular, meaningful visits and interactions is a key part of the area supervisor role. It is also important to ensure compliance in terms of Health, cleanliness, operational excellence and people development.

We require a skilled and competent area supervisor to join our confectionery business to oversee a number of branches mainly in the Pretoria region. If you are a natural leader and you have a passion for retail excellence combined with problem solving, this is the role for you.

Objectives and Responsibilities:

- Drive Operational Excellence through regular, meaningful visits and interactions with our branch staff in order to meet sales targets and achieve excellence in customer service.

- People Focus on empowering, developing and motivating teams and individuals to perform at their best.

- Food Safety Focus in ensuring that all branches are clean, hygienic and the staff take the necessary actions to eliminate any food safety risks.

- Ensure adherence to all our administration and sales procedures and processes

- Adhere to and promote the company values and systems

Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience in area supervision or management in multiple retail sites, preferably in the food industry
- Experience in staff leadership and motivation
- Own reliable transport essential and willingness to travel.
- High-Quality administrative skills required as well as attention to detail.
- Be flexible to work at various sites as requested.
- High work standards, energetic and driven.
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in spreadsheets and word processing
