Picture Framing & Wall Décor Consultant / Account Manager

ABOUT US

Florida Picture Framers has been framing on the West Rand since 1981. We are a Fine Art Trade Guild specialist in fine art and conservation framing. In January 2027 we open a new showroom at 967 Constantia Boulevard, Constantia Kloof, with two new brands alongside FPF:

• Florida Picture Framers: custom, fine art and conservation framing
• Collective Gallery: contemporary South African art, art consultancy and installation
• Wallhaus: mid-market wall décor for retail customers and trade

Three brands under one roof, covering everything that goes on a wall. We need someone who can sell across all three.

THE ROLE

You'll be the first person customers deal with in the showroom, and the main contact for our trade and wholesale accounts. Some days you'll be at the framing counter helping someone choose a mount and moulding. Other days you'll be putting together a wall-art package for an interior decorator's project.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Consult with walk-in customers on custom framing: mouldings, mounts, glazing and conservation options
• Quote accurately and capture orders on our POS system
• Help customers choose art from Collective Gallery and décor from Wallhaus, and suggest framing to go with it
• Manage and grow trade accounts: interior designers, decorators, architects, corporate clients and retailers
• Prepare quotes and proposals for larger projects, and follow up until they close
• Coordinate with the workshop on deadlines, quality and delivery
• Help with installations, deliveries and client site visits when needed
• Keep the showroom and displays looking their best

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Retail, sales or account management experience. Framing, interiors, art or décor experience is a strong plus.
• A good eye for colour, proportion and design, and the confidence to give honest advice
• Comfortable dealing with walk-in customers as well as trade clients
• Organised, with good follow-up. You don't let quotes go cold.
• Computer literate and good with numbers
• Good spoken and written English
• Own transport and a valid driver's licence
• Available Saturday mornings (08:00–13:00)

NICE TO HAVE

• Picture framing experience or training
• An existing network of interior designers or decorators
• Knowledge of the South African art scene

WHAT WE OFFER

• R8,000 – R17,000 per month, depending on experience
• A new showroom and a growing business with three brands
• Training in framing, conservation standards and our products
• Working hours: weekdays 08:00–17:00, Saturdays 08:00–13:00
