Full job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and lead our team in delivering excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining high service standards, controlling stock and costs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all daily bar operations
- Supervise, train, and motivate bar staff
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain high standards of beverage quality and presentation
- Manage stock ordering and inventory control
- Control beverage costs and minimise wastage
- Prepare syrups and cocktail ingredients from scratch
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
- Assist with promotions, events, and strategies to increase sales
- Monitor cash handling and daily reconciliations where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in a similar supervisory role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar operations
- Experience with stock management and cost control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
