At Stryker, our Clinical Support Specialists play a critical role in enabling safe, effective trauma care by ensuring clinicians have the right products, training, and support at the right time. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly in the operating theatre, combining deep clinical engagement with hands‑on product expertise. You will be at the forefront of delivering procedural excellence and shaping outstanding customer experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Support trauma procedures by covering surgical cases across assigned hospitals, spending approximately 80% of time in theatre environments.

  • Deliver in‑depth product training to surgeons, theatre staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective use of Stryker trauma solutions.

  • Audit and manage hospital and theatre stock, including implants, disposables, and instruments, ensuring accurate consignment levels, stock rotation, and asset management.

  • Coordinate and conduct product trials and evaluations in theatre and clinical environments, supporting evidence‑based product adoption.

  • Collaborate with regional sales colleagues to identify customer needs, introduce additional Stryker solutions, and support business growth initiatives (approximately 20% sales activity).

  • Plan, execute, and support training workshops, clinical events, and product implementations within the region.

  • Maintain a structured business plan outlining daily, weekly, and monthly objectives aligned with regional strategy.

  • Working closely with other team members within the defined region, and the regional Sales Manager, to ensure customer service levels are best in class.

  • Provide consistent, high‑quality service to physicians, surgical teams, hospital administration, and sterilisation departments, ensuring best‑in‑class customer support.

  • Additional responsibilities as directed by RSM (Regional Sales Manager).

  • Make observations of customer needs and liaise with sales colleagues to follow up on and introduce new or additional Stryker products and/or support.

What You Will Need

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical support, medical device, or operating theatre environment.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Fluency in English.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting trauma, orthopaedics, or surgical implants.

  • Experience managing consignment inventory or hospital stock systems.

Additional Information

  • Field‑based role covering Southern Gauteng, including Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Sasolburg, Meyerton, and surrounding Vaal Triangle areas.

  • Case coverage also in other Gauteng areas if needed.

  • Role split: approximately 80% case coverage and 20% sales‑related support activities.

  • Regular travel within the assigned territory is required.
