Job Description: Senior Sales Representative (Medical Devices)

Area: Johannesburg

Appointment: Full time

Position Summary

The Senior Sales Representative is responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, assisting with customer support, providing product support, and mentoring junior sales representatives. This is a full-time appointment in the Johannesburg and Southern Gauteng Area. The Senior Representative will report to the Operations Manager and Sales Manager as necessary, and will be required to assist in managing the junior Sales Representatives in the area.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
• Manage and grow existing accounts in public and private healthcare.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Conduct product demonstrations and clinical support.
• Assist in developing strategy for the area.
• Assist in Market research and launching of new products
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales pipeline.
• Prepare quotations following company procedures.
• Monitor tenders and contract opportunities.
• Resolve customer issues with internal teams.
• Provide market intelligence.
• Mentor junior sales representatives.
• Represent the company professionally.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements.

Products and Scope

The products to be covered by this position include but are not limited to:

• Diagnostic accessories (ECG Electrodes, SPO2 sensors, NIBP monitors, Recording Paper)
• Diathermy Electrodes and accessories (Tips, handpieces, Return electrodes)
• Smoke Evacuation
• Defibrillation Electrodes
• Airway products.

Experience with all or any of the above products is preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates will be chosen on their qualifications based on the below criteria:

Critical qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in a senior sales representative position.
• Proven experience in the medical field and medical device sales.
• Experience with applicable regulatory requirements such as CRICE.
• Experience using a CRM system.
• Experience with any or all of the listed products.
• Valid drivers license and own vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Nursing, Biomedical Technology, or a related field.
• Existing relationships within hospitals and healthcare groups.
• Experience managing and training junior sales representatives.
• Experience training healthcare professionals on medical devices.

Reimbursement and Salary

This position will be based on a basic salary and monthly commission based on sales targets. The salary shall include travel allowances, medical aid, and any other benefits and will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience. The Commission will be added paid out monthly, and will be calculated using a tiered sales target method. The Commission should make up to 40% of the total reimbursement.

Pay: From R35 000,00 per month
