We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic FULL-TIME Retail Sales Assistant to work at our stores in Village Square (Durbanville) Haasendal (Kuilsrivier) Cobblewalk (Durbanville) Willowbridge (Bellville) as an all-rounder team member and help us deliver excellent customer service to pet lovers.

*Assist customers in finding the right products for their cats and dogs.

*Provide knowledgeable advice on pet care, nutrition, and product selection.

*Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and arranging displays.

*Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system.

*Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns with a positive attitude.

*Perform stock-taking duties and ensure accurate inventory counts.

*Assist with purchase orders and coordinate receiving stock deliveries.

*Perform daily administrative tasks.

*Daily cash-ups and banking.

*Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and promotions to assist customers effectively.

*Assist with inventory management, including receiving and organizing stock.

Requirements:

*Passionate about people and pets with a strong understanding of pet care.

*Previous retail or customer service experience is compulsory, prefrably in the FMCG market. (Hospitality and tourism do not form part of retail)

*Experience in the pet or veterinary industry is highly preferred.

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

*Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Numerical skills).

*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

*Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

*Basic administrative skills and familiarity with inventory systems.

*Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

*Must be able to lift and carry pet food bags of up to 20kg, multiple times a day.

*Matric with Math Lit with at least a 4 level and preferably Life Science

*Reliable transport

* English and Afrikaans speaking

* Reside within 8km from Durbanville or Bellville

* Start date ASAP
