Butch Burgers is a growing burger brand built around memorable food, proud hosts and the kind of burger experience people talk about after the meal is done.
The BurgerBlox product line gives customers everything they need to prepare Butch Burgers at home. Each kit is prepared, packed and delivered so customers can host their own burger experience with confidence.
We are looking for a reliable, disciplined and experienced Chef to help prepare BurgerBlox kits during the week and cook Butch Burgers from the trailer at weekend markets, events and activations.
Role Overview
The Chef will be responsible for preparing burger ingredients, packing BurgerBlox kits, maintaining food quality standards and cooking Butch Burgers from the trailer during weekend operations.
The role requires someone comfortable with both preparation work and live service. The right candidate must understand consistency, hygiene, timing, portion control and the importance of serving food people remember.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare BurgerBlox kit ingredients during the week, including patties, bacon, vegetables, garnishes, sauces and other kit components
Pack BurgerBlox kits neatly, consistently and according to brand standards
Cook Butch Burgers from the trailer during weekend markets, events and activations
Follow recipes, preparation standards and food safety procedures
Maintain consistent quality, taste, presentation and portioning
Keep the preparation area, trailer, equipment and storage areas clean and organised
Assist with stock rotation, ingredient handling and basic stock control
Support trailer setup, service and pack-down when required
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Represent Butch Burgers professionally when dealing with customers, suppliers and event organisers
Minimum Requirements
At least 2 years’ restaurant cooking experience
Experience working with burgers, grills, fast-casual food or similar menu items
Strong understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling
Ability to work weekends
Ability to follow recipes and preparation instructions accurately
Reliable, punctual and organised
Able to work under pressure during busy service periods
Able to maintain clean workstations and equipment
Willing to assist with both kitchen preparation and trailer service
Advantageous
Experience working in a food truck, trailer, market stall or mobile kitchen
Experience with burger preparation, grilling and batch preparation
Basic stock control experience
Valid driver’s licence
