Full job description

The Role

Join an exciting new venture in the Automotive & Financial Services industry.

An established automotive group is launching its own insurance brokerage focused on providing value-added insurance products to its customers. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) to play a key role in building the financial foundations of a growing business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial governance, improving operational efficiencies, delivering meaningful business insights, and supporting executive management with strategic financial decision-making.

Skills and Experience

Requirements

  • CA(SA) qualification.
  • Registered with SAICA.
  • Minimum 1 year's post-articles experience.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management experience.
  • Sound knowledge of IFRS and statutory compliance.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Oversee general ledger integrity across multiple entities.
  • Manage cash flow and working capital.
  • Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive management.
  • Develop financial models to support business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, taxation and statutory requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
    • Lead and mentor the finance team while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
