Chartered Accountant – Practice Manager

R35 000 – R75 000 per month, cost to company, depending on experience.

Hadley-Grave Accounting and Tax is a fast-growing accounting, compliance, and tax practice based in Cape Town, serving individuals and companies across South Africa.

The role

A genuinely hands-on Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) role, not a purely supervisory one. You'll manage and grow our accounting and tax client base, individuals and companies alike, while personally doing a portion of the technical work yourself, not just overseeing it. You'll manage staff and deadlines, run client meetings with confidence, and grow into greater leadership as the practice scales.

What you'll do

• Manage and grow our accounting and tax client portfolio
• Personally prepare and deliver work for part of the client base
• Review and sign off on technical work prepared by the team
• Run client meetings and calls with confidence
• Manage staff workloads and deadlines in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment
• Take on increasing managerial responsibility as the practice grows

What we're looking for

• CA(SA), with solid experience in an accounting and tax practice
• Strong technical skills, and a willingness to stay hands-on rather than delegate everything
• Genuinely good people skills, someone who builds real client relationships
• Self-disciplined, comfortable working from home
• Managerial experience is a bonus, not essential if you're ready to grow into it
• Wants to grow alongside a scaling practice, not just fill a fixed role

• Honours (Required)

Experience:

• Accounting: 5 years (Preferred)
