We are looking for an experienced, professional, and highly organised Butler Chef to join a private household.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about exceptional cooking, hospitality, and providing personalised household service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while also assisting with formal dining, guest service, and the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Culinary & Kitchen Management

• Plan and prepare daily and weekly menus based on family preferences and dietary requirements.
• Prepare high-quality breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and meals for guests.
• Source fresh, quality ingredients and manage kitchen stock and provisions.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and supplies are properly maintained.

Butler & Guest Service

• Provide professional table and formal dining service.
• Prepare and maintain formal table settings.
• Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently.
• Welcome and assist guests with a warm and discreet approach.
• Maintain and care for fine china, glassware, silverware, and other household valuables.

Household Support

• Assist with the smooth daily running of the household.
• Coordinate with housekeeping staff and other household employees.
• Monitor household supplies and arrange replenishment when required.
• Assist with household maintenance coordination and service providers.
• Support the preparation of private dinners, celebrations, and special events.

Travel & Personal Support

• Assist with packing and preparing household items for travel.
• Support household requirements when travelling between residences.
• Assist with reasonable personal and household requests as required.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate should be:

• Experienced in private household, luxury hospitality, or high-end service environments.
• An excellent cook with strong knowledge of food preparation and menu planning.
• Professional, well-presented, reliable, and highly organised.
• Comfortable providing formal table and guest service.
• Discreet and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays, and extended hours when required.
• Able to work independently and anticipate the needs of the household.
• A valid driver's licence would be an advantage.

Pay: R25 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
