Medical Receptionist & Doctors Assistant – Fast-Paced Medical Centre

We are seeking a confident, organized Medical Receptionist and Doctors Assistant to manage a busy front-of-house and provide direct support to healthcare professionals.

Minimum Requirements (Top Priority):

• Must have own vehicle and ability to travel between Durban North and Simbithi
• Grade 12 / Matric certificate
• At least 2 years’ medical work experience with traceable references
• Computer literacy
• Excellent communication skills (written and spoken English)
• Previous experience in a medical practice
• No criminal record
• Ability to work weekdays (8am–5pm) and Saturdays (8am–1pm)
• Remuneration will reimburse for travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing bookings and switchboard
• Welcoming patients and creating files
• Coordinating diaries for 3 healthcare professionals
• Assisting doctors with patient preparation, administrative support, and follow-up tasks
• Supporting clinical duties such as:
• Assisting in medical procedures
• Facilitating consultations
• Preparing procedure rooms before use
• Clearing and cleaning procedure rooms after use
• Handling invoicing, payments, and patient queries (email & phone)
• Receiving and processing stock deliveries
• Assisting with retail of stock items and conducting stock take
• Maintaining cleanliness of reception and waiting area

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: R10 000,00 - R13 000,00 per month
