Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and repair of aquatic equipment and facilities.
  • Inspect and maintain:
  • Swimming pools
  • Water slides
  • Splash parks
  • Water pumps
  • Filtration systems
  • Chlorination and water treatment systems
  • Pool equipment and mechanical components
  • Perform routine checks on water quality and equipment operation.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Replace damaged parts, fittings, valves, and components.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Keep tools and work areas clean and organized.
  • Report equipment faults and safety concerns.
  • Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Assist during inspections and emergency repairs.

Requirements

  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, plumbing, pool maintenance, or technical repair work.
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping systems, and water treatment is an advantage.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills preferred.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Ability to work in wet environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • STCW Basic Safety Training is often required for cruise ship employment.
  • Ability to work onboard for extended contracts.

Pay: R20 000,00 - R30 000,00 per month
