Dick & Allsop Mica is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team! If you’re passionate about hardware, enjoy helping customers find the right products, and thrive in a busy retail environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product enquiries, recommendations, and purchases
- Maintain excellent product knowledge across hardware, paint, tools, electrical, plumbing, and DIY categories
- Ensure shelves are well-stocked, clean, and merchandised
- Process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle customer returns, exchanges, and general after-sales service
- Support the team with stock counts and receiving stock
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service at all times
Requirements:
- 1–2 years proven hardware retail or hardware sales experience (essential)
- Strong product knowledge in hardware categories
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Honest, reliable, and able to work well in a team
- Ability to work retail hours, including weekends when required
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
