DENTAL ASSISTANT/ RECEPTIONIST

Location: Centurion, Gauteng

We are looking for a professional and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team at a JC Dental Studio in Centurion.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring a high standard of infection control, and creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.
  • Prepare, clean and sterilise dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
  • Assist with patient preparation, comfort and aftercare instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update relevant documentation.
  • Manage appointments and assist with reception duties when required.
  • Monitor dental supplies and assist with stock control.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and professional standards.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA),
  • Previous experience in a dental practice will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures and infection prevention and control.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
