Full job description

We are looking for a reliable, responsible, and hardworking Delivery Driver to transport and deliver goods safely and on time to customers, businesses, and other designated locations. The driver will be responsible for ensuring that deliveries are handled carefully and that all required delivery documentation is completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and deliver goods, packages, and orders to customers and businesses.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made safely, accurately, and on time.
  • Load and unload goods while taking care to prevent damage.
  • Check delivery items against invoices, delivery notes, or orders.
  • Obtain proof of delivery and customer signatures where required.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes and follow assigned schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
  • Communicate with customers and the office regarding delivery times or issues.
  • Report delays, accidents, vehicle problems, or damaged goods immediately.
  • Perform basic checks on the delivery vehicle and report any maintenance issues.
  • Keep the vehicle clean, secure, and in good working condition.
  • Follow all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Handle customer information and company goods responsibly.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
  • Good communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
