About the role

The Print Shop is hiring an Operations Manager to run day-to-day operations across our Durban North branding, printing and signage business. You are the engine room - owning workflow, scheduling, supplier and stock management, and staff coordination across DTP, copy centre, large-format production and finishing.

What you'll do

- Run daily ops across departments (DTP, copy centre, digital + large-format production, finishing)

- Own job scheduling and workflow - order intake to delivery

- Manage stock, consumables and suppliers (paper, inks, vinyl, substrates, finishing materials)

- Coordinate staff across departments; handle attendance, productivity and basic discipline

- Hold the team to quality standards and deadlines (first-time-right, on-time delivery)

- Troubleshoot bottlenecks; reduce waste and rework

- Track basic ops KPIs and report to ownership

- Support sales on quoting (lead times, feasibility, costing inputs)

Must-have

- 3+ years' operations / production / branch management in print, signage, packaging, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced production environment

- Proven workflow and job-scheduling experience

- People management - managed teams of 5 or more

- Solid Excel / Google Sheets; comfortable with CRM/ERP systems (we use Vtiger)

- Based in Durban / able to commute to Durban North daily

- Own transport and a valid driver's licence

Advantageous

- Print industry exposure (digital, offset, large-format, signage, DTP)

- Stock / supplier management experience

- Pastel / Sage or similar finance touch

- Production costing / margin awareness
