Our civil engineering company is seeking an unemployed candidate with horticulture expertise to support our vegetation maintenance operations. This role combines plant care with safe chemical application to ensure compliance and sustainability across our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform vegetation maintenance on civil engineering sites, including pruning, transplanting, and plant health monitoring.
• Carry out chemical spraying for weed control, pest management, and invasive plant eradication in line with safety standards.
• Design and implement landscaping plans that support erosion control, slope stabilization, and site rehabilitation.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and municipal regulations in all vegetation and spraying activities.
• Manage irrigation systems and promote water-wise practices.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate sustainable vegetation solutions into infrastructure projects.
• Promote biodiversity through indigenous and sustainable planting.

• Requirements:
• Must be currently unemployed.
• Qualification in Horticulture, Landscape Management, or Environmental Sciences.
• Valid certification/licence for pesticide/herbicide application (advantageous).
• Experience in vegetation maintenance, landscaping, and chemical spraying.
• Knowledge of indigenous plants and sustainable practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on construction sites and coordinate with engineers.

Pay: R9 000,00 - R12 000,00 per hour
