Responsibilities:

Job Overview: Operates and monitors continuous production line.

  • Ensure loaves are packed 10 per crate or if premium, eight per crate on the conveyor.
  • Check the quality of bread continuously and check for any damaged loaves to be removed.
  • Ensure all loaves have dates and that the bread looks appealing inside the package.
  • Visually inspects product for quality and quantity.
  • Report all equipment issues to the supervisor or manager in a timely manner.
  • Understand and comply with all safety procedures that apply to daily operations.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation.
  • Ensure security of company assets.
Qualifications:
  • Matric is essential.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Good interpersonal ability.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a bakery production or related role preferred.
