Fibre Optic jobs

Install, configure, and test fiber optic cables and associated equipment in FTTH, aerial and trenched

Use test equipment such as Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR) and power meters to test fiber optic networks and diagnose issues.

Identify and troubleshoot faults in fiber optic systems, performing necessary repairs or replacements to restore optimal functionality

Fault finding and maintenance on the network

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of fiber optic technology, equipment, and tools.
• Proficiency in fiber optic cable splicing, termination, and testing.
• Familiarity with Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and fiber optic power meters.
• Ability to read plans.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical fitness to work in varying environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
• Must have a smart phone
• Must be able to work weekends and call outs
• Drivers license preferred
• 3 years minimum experience

Pay: From R10 000,00 per month
