Full job description
The Intelligent Debt Management (IDM) Group, South Africa’s largest and multi-award winning debt management company, has a position available for a Data Analyst.
This individual will join the Business Intelligence Team and will be accountable for mostly (but not limited to only) data analytics and reporting.
Requirements
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- A university degree; preferably in Statistics, Computer science or Informatics
- At least two years experience working as a data analyst
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS office suite and MS SQL
- Ability to develop reports and dashboards using PowerBI
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior or less experienced team members in data analytics and reporting solution delivery.
- Knowledge of the debt counselling process will be advantageous
- The ability to work in a close team environment as well as the capability to work independently, whilst taking responsibility as an individual.
- A positive and engaging attitude in dealing with people.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Results driven with a focus on quality and client service;
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to problem solve in complex environments
- Collaborate with the Head of BI, other analytics team members, data engineers and data scientists to enhance and maximize the value of the IDM data platform and data assets.
- Honest, responsible, accountable and live the IDM values
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- Planning, prioritising, organising and resource management
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Managing and decision-making abilities
