Kick-start your career in Retail!

Are you passionate about retail, customer experience, merchandising, and store operations? Join our 3-month Retail Internship, starting on 01 October 2026, and gain hands-on experience at our Pick n Pay store in Reyno Ridge, Witbank. Successful interns may be considered for permanent store-based opportunities within our retail business, subject to performance and business requirements.

Who Should Apply?

We're looking for motivated graduates or final-year students who are eager to learn and grow in a retail environment. Relevant fields of study include:

· Business Management

· Strategic Management

· Marketing

· Consumer Studies / Consumer Science

· Hospitality Management

· Food Science

· Food Management & Nutrition Sciences

What You'll Be Involved In

· Learning how a retail store operates, from receiving stock through to customer purchases

· Assisting with stock receiving, stock control, and inventory management processes

· Supporting stock counts, investigations, and stock adjustments

· Monitoring sales, stock availability, and product performance

· Assisting with store merchandising, promotions, displays, and pricing execution

· Gaining exposure to store layout planning and customer shopping behaviour

· Supporting store management with daily operational activities and reporting

· Learning about staff scheduling, team coordination, and performance management

· Working closely with various teams across the store environment

· Assisting with initiatives to improve the customer shopping experience

· Monitoring retail trends, competitor activity, and promotional opportunities

· Contributing fresh ideas to improve store operations and merchandising execution.
