Full job description
To lead and oversee Afrirent's billing (accounts receivable / AR) and creditors (AP) functions, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial processing that supports revenue integrity, supplier relationships, strong financial controls and optimal working capital management.
The role drives process excellence, system optimisation, audit readiness and team capability while partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Legal and Finance. The Manager acts as the escalation point for complex billing and supplier matters and ensures high-quality financial reporting and cash flow optimisation.
Education (Formal Qualification Required)
Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration
Ideal
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration will be advantageous
Legal Requirements (e.g. Driver’s License, etc.) / Professional Registrations (if any)

Minimum
- 7 – 10 years’ experience in finance operations (AR, billing and AP)
- At least 3 – 5 years in a management or supervisory role
- Proven experience in a high-volume transactional environment
- Experience managing month-end processes and control accounts
- Strong exposure to VAT, statutory compliance and audit support
- Experience driving process improvements and automation initiatives
- Experience partnering with cross-functional departments (Operations, Legal, Supply Chain)
- Strong ERP exposure (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics / IFS / Sage / Zoho / similar)
- Experience as a system owner / key user for AR / AP modules
Ideal
- Exposure to workflow automation tools will be advantageous
