The Jade Restaurant & Lifestyle is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Front of House Assistant to join our growing team in Somerset West.

We are looking for someone with a big smile, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for people. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who takes initiative, enjoys hospitality, and isn’t afraid to help wherever needed.

Requirements: Previous hospitality or restaurant experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality Comfortable communicating with customers via WhatsApp and phone calls Reliable, punctual, and well-presented Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must enjoy interacting with both children and older guests

Responsibilities: Greeting and serving customers Taking food and beverage orders Managing WhatsApp and telephone enquiries Handling takeaway and delivery orders Assisting with functions, events, and daily restaurant operations Creating a welcoming and memorable experience for all guests

We regularly host children’s parties, family events, and pensioners’ gatherings, so we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people of all ages.

Preference will be given to candidates living in the Helderberg area, particularly Strand.

Working Hours:Tuesday to Saturday: 09:00 – 21:00Sunday: 09:00 – 18:00Monday: Closed

Salary & Benefits: Basic salary plus tips

• Customer service : 1 year (Preferred)
