General Manager

Location: Grabouw, Western Cape

We are looking for a motivated hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys being part of an active outdoor community, and has the drive to take our Food & Beverage offering to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, restaurant, and guest facilities.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure consistently high standards.
  • Drive the growth and profitability of the Food & Beverage department.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to increase restaurant patronage from both hotel guests and the local community.
  • Manage budgets, stock control, purchasing, and cost management.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, cycling clubs, event organisers, and tourism partners.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hospitality regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to increase occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager, or senior hospitality management role.
  • Strong Food & Beverage management experience with a proven ability to increase restaurant revenue.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
  • Experience in hotel operations and guest experience management.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-driven.
  • Comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and peak hospitality periods.
  • A valid driver's licence.

Preferred

  • A genuine passion for outdoor activities such as mountain biking, trail running, hiking, or similar adventure sports.
  • Experience in boutique hotels, lodges, lifestyle hospitality, or destination properties.
  • Experience in marketing events, group bookings, or hospitality sales.
