Full job description

As an Internal IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our organization's employees. Your primary goal is to ensure that all hardware and software systems function smoothly, addressing technical issues promptly, and helping employees maximize their productivity through efficient IT solutions. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong technical knowledge, and exceptional customer service.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Resolve tickets assigned by the Service Desk that require on-site intervention
  • Deliver Vesuvius GET IT training to local users
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local users
  • Install, maintain, and document local services in line with company standards
  • Participate in technical and application deployment projects as needed
  • Travel to other Vesuvius locations when required
  • Maintain and support local computer hardware
  • Execute technical tasks specific to the location(s)
  • Manage IT assets within the Asset Management System
  • Provide support for production systems in the OT environment
  • Respond to and manage on-site IT emergencies, especially those impacting daily business operations (production, shipping, billing)
  • Support local and legacy applications
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance at the local level
  • Contribute, maintain and adhere to the defined IT budget
