We’re Hiring! | Sample Shop Assistant| Ackermans Support Centre, Kuilsriver

Are you passionate about retail, customer service, and bringing energy into every task you do? We have an exciting opportunity for a Sample Shop Assistant to join our team at the Ackermans Support Centre in Kuilsriver.

As a key part of our shop team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an excellent shopping experience while supporting daily operations in-store .

Qualifications and level of experience required

  • A Grade 12 certificate/Matric

  • Previous experience in a similar role/s within the clothing and or textile industry would be an advantage

  • Understanding standard operating procedures within the sample shop

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1.Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service to give customers a great shopping experience • 5 star customer service principles

2. Cashier Duties

• Process Card Payments • Process New staff accounts • Reporting discrepancies and problems to the Supervisor • Till balancing

3. Merchandising

• Process to separate damaged and non-damagedstock • Count Stock • Check that price tickets are always in stock • Correct Pricing of stock • Attractive Displays of stock • Correct Hanger Inserts • Correct Departments

4. General Housekeeping

• Maintain overall cleanliness • Boxes stacked safely and neatly • Clear walkways • Products neatly aligned

5. Be alert and report any suspicious activity or shoplifiting

• Reporting time to Supervisor • Incident Accuracy

6. Ad Hoc Duties

  • Support the Sample Shop Supervisor with ad hoc duties / direct instructions when operationally required
