Job Description:

The individual will be a Call Centre Agent, part of a team of Call Centre Agents that:

  • Sell insurance products telephonically to potential policyholders by reading from an approved script,
  • Utilise a call center dialer to manage lead follow-up
  • Strive to achieve insurance policy sales and campaign targets
  • Assist policyholders with policy administration
  • Follow up on policyholders who have not paid their premiums
  • Ensure excellent customer service and fair treatment of policyholders
  • Adherence to quality, training and compliance processes
  • Accurately recording policy sales and maintaining policyholder information

Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Meeting the Regulatory Fit and Proper requirements
  • Advantageous:
  • Additional South African Languages
  • Sales, Marketing, or Insurance Diploma/Degree
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • FAIS Regulatory Exam (RE5) for Representatives

Ideal Experience:

  • 2 years + Call Centre experience, and/or
  • 2 years + Insurance sales / Financial Services experience

Competencies:

  • Proficient in English
  • Good communication and conflict management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer Literate in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Insurance Legislation and Regulation (advantageous)
  • Self-motivated, committed and willing to learn
  • Work under pressure in a target-orientated environment
  • Problem-solving skills
