MVIA is looking for a detail-focused Claims Payment Agent to ensure our claims payments are accurate, timely, and compliant. This is your chance to be part of a team that keeps our short-term motor insurance operations running smoothly, while maintaining high standards of control, accuracy, and service.

Responsibilities

- Process service, warranty, excess, tyre, and related claims payments accurately and in line with approved authorisations and SOPs
- Capture, submit, and release payments on the claims management system within agreed turnaround times
- Ensure payments are made to correct approved creditors using authorized methods
- Verify documentation compliance before payment and escalate discrepancies or exceptions
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date claim records in the system
- Record all payments accurately in tracking tools and reports
- Communicate professionally with repairers, service providers, assessors, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries
- Support client refund processing according to approved procedures
- Minimise payment errors, overpayments, or unauthorised payments through careful attention to detail
- Identify recurring issues, risks, or process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement
- Adhere to confidentiality, data protection, and ethical standards at all times

- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
- Previous experience in claims administration, insurance operations, or payment processing advantageous
- Experience working with EFT payments and supplier banking details preferred
- Exposure to VAT or basic financial controls is beneficial
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret authorization documentation and payment approvals
- Competence in claims systems and Microsoft Excel
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently while following structured processes
- Clear written communication and accurate recordkeeping
- Ability to identify issues and escalate appropriately
