Full job description

Seasoned Recruitment is looking for a professional, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Tasting Room Ambassador to join a prestigious 5-star wine estate in Franschhoek.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a premium hospitality team at a renowned estate offering curated wine tastings, weddings, restaurant experiences, and picnics while producing exceptional wines. The successful candidate will work closely with the owner and production team, delivering memorable wine experiences to guests from around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and provide a warm, professional, and engaging tasting experience.
  • Present and guide guests through curated wine tastings with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Share knowledge about the estate, its wines, and the winemaking process.
  • Recommend and sell wines while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Take food and wine tasting orders accurately using the POS system.
  • Work closely with the owner and production team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Build strong relationships with guests and confidently engage with both local and international visitors.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the estate to the highest standard.
  • Ensure the tasting room remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times.
  • Contribute to achieving sales targets while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous wine industry or tasting room experience is advantageous.
  • Sound wine knowledge with a genuine passion for wine and hospitality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sales-driven with the ability to confidently recommend and sell premium wines.
  • Computer literate with experience using POS systems.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Hardworking, reliable, punctual, and a team player.
  • Well-presented with a professional appearance.
  • Physically fit due to the nature of the estate and daily responsibilities.
  • Own reliable transport is essential.
  • A willingness to learn, with full training provided.

Package

  • Salary of R12,000 per month.
