Role Description As a Junior Support Technician, you will provide first-line technical assistance to internal users and clients in a full-time, on-site role based in the City of Johannesburg. Your day-to-day tasks will include responding to support tickets, diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and escalating complex problems to senior team members when needed. You will assist with installing, configuring, and updating software and basic IT equipment, while maintaining accurate records of issues and resolutions. The role also involves communicating clearly with users, guiding them through solutions, and following established IT and security procedures. You will collaborate with the wider IT and security team to ensure reliable system performance and a positive user experience.

• Candidates should have foundational knowledge in Information Technology, including operating systems, hardware, and basic networking.
• Candidates should demonstrate clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with users and documenting support activities.
• Candidates should be comfortable working with common Software applications, system tools, and ticketing or helpdesk platforms.
• Relevant certificate "A Plus" or studying towards would be beneficial.
• Basic understanding of information security principles and safe computing practices is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Ekurhuleni, manage multiple tasks, and follow established procedures and escalation paths.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior team members and ongoing training.
• Candidates should have own transport and be able to travel to customer premises when required.
• Candidates should be able to work physically, job entails physical work such as climbing ladders, pulling network cables, using a power drill.

Pay: R7 000,00 - R7 500,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Boksburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
