Full job description

Vinlab is seeking a Lab Technician Level 1 to assist with the receipt, handling, preparation, and storage of laboratory samples, ensuring that all processes are performed accurately and in accordance with prescribed methods and ISO requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the receipt, unpacking, and handling of samples.
  • Perform initial sample preparation, including transferring, washing, drying, sieving, and milling.
  • Prepare samples according to prescribed methods and work instructions.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of bulk samples.
  • Provide support across laboratory disciplines as required to maintain workflow continuity.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, quality, and ISO requirements.

    • No previous experience required.
    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
    • In-house training will be provided on relevant procedures.
    • Competency must be demonstrated within one month of training.
