A permanent vacancy exists for a Laboratory Assistant

Rotational Blood Bank (Paterson - Grade B2)

Main Purpose:

Prevents expiry of blood products and consumables by counting, receiving, checking and packing it in strict date order. Co-ordinates the process of biohazardous waste collection. Clean hampers, equipment and work surfaces.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric Certificate (Math & Science).
• Computer literate.
• Registration with HPCSA as a Laboratory Assistant.
• The working hours are variable and shift work is required.

A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Have a friendly disposition and show keen interest in the work.
• A willingness to work as part of a team is essential.
