Laboratory Supervisor jobs

• Quality Testing & Inspection

· Conduct and supervise laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products against approved specifications and test methods.

· Review and interpret analytical results and identify deviations, trends and potential quality issues.

· Maintain calibration and correct use of laboratory instruments.

· Support product release decisions based on approved quality requirements.

Sampling & Documentation

· Establish and maintain sampling procedures to ensure representative and traceable samples are collected.

· Ensure all samples, test results and batch records are accurately recorded and traceable.

· Maintain laboratory SOPs, test methods, specifications, calibration records and other quality documentation.

· Report deviations or non-conformances promptly to the Plant Manager.

Process Monitoring & Support

· Monitor critical quality parameters throughout the production process and provide timely feedback to Production.

· Investigate process deviations, non-conformances and abnormal test results.

· Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions and continual improvement initiatives.

· Work with Production and Product Development to improve product consistency, process performance and product yield.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

· Ensure adherence to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and chemical handling procedures.

· Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities.

· Maintain clean and safe laboratory and testing environments.

Reporting & Communication

· Prepare and communicate routine QC and laboratory performance reports to the Plant Manager and relevant departments.

· Communicate quality issues that may impact production efficiency or customer satisfaction.

· Participate in continuous improvement projects

Pay: R20 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month

• Experience with laboratory equipment calibration, verification, maintenance and laboratory quality systems.

• Understanding of sampling methods, laboratory instruments

Education:

• Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• quality control, analytical & testing laboratory: 3 years (Preferred)
