General Worker – Landscaping Division

About the Role (MUST HAVE RSA ID)

Schaffler’s Landscaping is looking for hardworking, reliable, and physically fit General Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be on-site helping to transform and maintain beautiful gardens for our clients. If you enjoy working outdoors, taking pride in manual work, and being part of a team that creates amazing spaces, this is the perfect job for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with garden installations, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Preparing soil, digging trenches, leveling ground, and laying instant lawn (turf).
  • Assisting with site clearing, removing garden refuse, and loading/unloading materials and tools from vehicles.
  • Operating basic gardening hand tools safely (shovels, rakes, forks, wheelbarrows, etc.).
  • Following the instructions of the Landscaping Team Leader or Site Manager to ensure work is completed efficiently and neatly.

Requirements & Skills

  • Physical Fitness: Must be physically strong, healthy, and capable of doing heavy manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and ready to work hard every day.
  • Team Player: Able to take direction well, work cleanly, and cooperate with fellow team members.
  • Experience: Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, farming, or general construction labor is a major advantage but not strictly required if you have the right attitude.
  • Language: Able to understand and follow spoken instructions clearly.
