Hello Group is seeking to appoint a diligent, detail-oriented FICA Consultant reporting to the Compliance Manager and will provide support with customer onboarding and FICA verification processes, ensuring that customer information and documentation are accurately verified in line with company policies and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will assist in monitoring, reporting, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, and general compliance oversight across our operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric certificate (Grade 12)
• Relevant qualification in Compliance, Finance, Law or related field will be advantageous.
• Previous experience in FICA, KYC, customer onboarding or financial services will be advantageous.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Good attention to detail
• Good wtitten and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct customer onboarding verification checks.
• Review and verify customer identification documents and supporting documentation.
• Ensure customer information is complete ans accurate before onboarding.
• Conduct sanctions, PEP and other required screening checks.
• Review screening results and escalate potential matches to the relevant Compliance team member.
• Identify missing, expired or inconsistent customer documentation and request the required information.
• Respond to and assist with FICA/KYC-related queries from customers and internal teams.
• Assist with resolving onboarding and verification queries.
• Maintain accurate records of verification checks and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all verification checks are completed within the turnaround times.
• Escalate any unusual, high-risk or potentially non-compliant customer information to the Compliance Manager.
• Assist with general administrative duties within the Compliance/FICA function.
