Tronox Mineral Sands invites applications for a Smelter Learnership Programme. This opportunity is aimed at unemployed youth residing within the Saldanha Bay Municipal area who have obtained a Grade 12 qualification and have little or no formal work experience.

Successful candidates will enter into a 12-month fixed-term learnership agreement with Tronox Mineral Sands. This learnership is a training opportunity and does not constitute a contract of employment. Completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment.

What the Learnership Offers:
The learnership offers participants the opportunity to gain a qualification while acquiring practical workplace experience through structured on-the-job training. Participants will receive a monthly stipend, gain exposure to modern production processes and technologies, and build a strong foundation for future career opportunities within the metals and manufacturing industry.

Selection and Qualifying Criteria

Applicants must:

Be South African citizens.
Be between 18 and 35 years of age.
Have successfully completed Grade 12.
Mathematics and Physical Science will be advantageous.
Be currently unemployed.
Have no criminal record.
Have not previously participated in a funded learnership programme.
Reside within the Saldanha Bay Municipal area.
Preference will be given to Employment Equity candidates in accordance with Tronox Employment Equity Policy.
