Position: Legal Associate

Requirements:LLB and admitted attorney

Experience:Minimum 10 yrs

Core duties
- Consult with clients
- Consult with Legal Counsel
- Attend to court cases supporting Legal counsel
- Prepare court documents and files(i.e., Bungles and paginated)
- Draft Legal opinions
- Draft invoice and statement of accounts for review by the partner
- Analyse cases

- Forensic Invistigation
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant acts and legislation (i.e Criminal procedure ACT, Companies Act, Law of contracts)
- Knowledge and understanding of case files
- Consult with Judges in their chambers concerning cases.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals for tenders.
- Manage staff and performance
- Monitor cases
- Understanding of company policies(i.e HR)
- Engage with various stakeholders
- Business development expertise and experience.
- Understanding of court rules.
- Knowledge and experience of drafting and submission of applications (i.e., motions)
- Knowledge and understanding of labour relations act and employment equity Act Experience of appearance at CCMA
- Knowledge of drafting contracts
