Growth- Ten Group is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Head of Campus Operations & Procurement to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Contact Learning campuses nationally. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing the student experience, ensuring academic delivery quality, improving fee collection and student retention, and leading all national procurement activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Executive Committee (EXCO), Campus Managers, and functional departments to achieve agreed financial and operational objectives while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic and Operational Leadership

• Translate institutional strategy into effective campus operational plans with clear deliverables, ownership, and timelines.
• Lead and manage Campus Managers, ensuring accountability for performance, service delivery, and operational targets.
• Monitor campus performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions where required.
• Standardise operational practices across campuses to improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality.

Financial Performance and Fee Collection

• Take overall accountability for fee collection across Contact Learning campuses.
• Monitor collections performance and work closely with Finance and Campus Managers to improve collections outcomes.
• Oversee refund and cancellation processes in line with institutional policies.
• Proactively manage bad debt portfolios, including escalations, debt collection agency management, recoveries, and write-off recommendations.

Student Retention and Student Success

• Drive student retention initiatives across campuses.
• Monitor student engagement, academic progression, and withdrawals.
• Implement early intervention strategies for at-risk students.
• Collaborate with Academic and Student Support teams to improve re-registration and student success rates.
• Ensure effective student service delivery and timely complaint resolution.

Academic Delivery Oversight

• Oversee the operational quality of academic delivery across Contact Learning campuses.
• Ensure academic calendars, class schedules, lecturer availability, assessment administration, orientation programmes, and learning resources support effective teaching and learning.
• Coordinate and support student enrichment initiatives, including entrepreneurship, innovation, and student engagement activities.
• Work closely with academic leadership to address operational gaps and continuously improve delivery quality.

National Procurement Leadership

• Lead all national procurement activities, including:
• Demand planning
• Supplier sourcing and selection
• Vendor negotiations
• Purchasing and contract management
• Supplier performance management
• Consolidate national purchasing requirements to maximise buying power and cost efficiencies.
• Drive procurement savings, value-for-money initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with approved budgets, policies, contracts, and delegated authority levels.

Governance, Risk and Compliance

• Maintain effective operational controls, audit readiness, and quality assurance practices.
• Identify and mitigate operational, financial, compliance, safety, and service risks.
• Manage campus facilities, maintenance programmes, health and safety, and operational continuity plans.
• Ensure implementation of agreed community engagement and governance initiatives.

Budget and Resource Management

• Manage operational budgets in partnership with Finance.
• Monitor expenditure and budget variances and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Support resource planning and campus capacity management to ensure sustainability and effectiveness.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Campus Managers.
• Partner with HR on workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with Academic, Finance, HR, Commercial, Marketing, IT, Student Experience, and other support functions.
• Support institutional growth initiatives, including Open Days, student recruitment activities, workshops, and marketing campaigns.

Minimum RequirementsQualifications

• Master's Degree required.
• MBA or equivalent postgraduate business qualification will be highly advantageous.

Experience

• Significant experience in higher education operations, multi-site operations management, or a comparable leadership role.
• Proven experience managing senior managers and operational teams.
• Demonstrated success in driving financial performance, operational efficiencies, procurement outcomes, and student success initiatives.
• Experience leading complex projects and managing organisational risk.
• Strong understanding of higher education regulatory, quality assurance, and compliance requirements.
