We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Medical Aid Sales Consultant to promote Bestmed as the scheme of choice for prospective members. The successful candidate will understand clients’ needs, provide suitable medical scheme options, and guide prospective members through the registration process, ensuring they are matched to the correct option. The role requires a strong focus on customer service, regulatory compliance, and treating customers fairly throughout the sales process.

Responsibility and accountability for the positioning of Bestmed as the scheme of choice for prospective members within the desired profile and successfully registering the member on the correctly matched option. The job has to be performed in line with regulations and treating customers fairly.

• Recruit new members to Bestmed
• Assisting prospective members to join Bestmed
• Conduct a suitability/needs analysis for each prospective member
• Determine affordability for each prospective member
• Discuss any applicable underwriting requirements with prospective members and provide clear guidance on the relevant processes and requirements
• Adhere to FAIS Compliance
  

Qualification

• Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (Mathematics on a symbol E or higher. Maths Literacy on a symbol C or higher)
• FAIS Regulatory Exam 5 for Representatives (to be obtained within 24 months of the date of first appointment (DOFA) as a representative)
• Tertiary qualification e.g. National Diploma or Degree

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in a sales position
