Location: Kimberley, Northern Cape
Contract Duration: Fixed-Term (4 Months)
Start Date: 1 September 2026

We are seeking a highly skilled, professional, and personable Receptionist to join our busy optometrist practice on a fixed-term basis. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong computer literacy, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Manage appointments, scheduling, and follow-ups using computer systems.
  • Prepare quotes and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Provide guidance to patients in choosing frames and eyewear.
  • Handle customer queries and resolve difficult situations calmly and effectively.
  • Support the optometrist and team with daily operational needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong computer proficiency (essential).
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to handle challenging interactions.
  • Previous reception or retail experience (optical/medical background will be an advantage).
  • Professional, well-presented, and proactive.
  • Available to start 1 September 2026 (fixed-term contract: 4 months).

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 18:00
  • Saturday: 09:00 – 14:00
  • Public Holidays: 09:00 – 14:00
