MedX is a specialist medical billing and collections company managing accounts for leading specialist surgeons and anaesthetists across South Africa.

We are looking for an exceptional Medical Billing Specialist who thrives on accuracy, problem-solving and complex claim resolution.

This role is not suitable for someone seeking routine data capturing. We require an individual who can think critically & take ownership of their role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit and manage claims to medical schemes
  • Investigate and resolve claim rejections
  • Liaise with specialists, hospital groups and medical aids
  • Draft professional correspondence to schemes and providers
  • Maintain detailed account notes

Minimum RequirementsEssential

  • Minimum 3 years medical billing experience
  • Experience with specialist or anaesthetic billing
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • ICD-10 coding
  • PMB legislation
  • Medical scheme rules
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • High attention to detail

Pay: R16 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
