DIGITAL HEALTH IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT

Province: Gauteng (GP)

About the Project

Our Client is recruiting provincial implementation teams to support the roll-out of a bespoke Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system across Primary Health Care (PHC) facilities in Gauteng (GP). This initiative is undertaken in partnership with the National Department of Health. Successful candidates will be required to attend a compulsory five-day implementation toolkit training and handover programme facilitated by the National Department of Health prior to project commencement.

Team Leader | Job Ref. No.: TeamL-(GP)

Role Overview: Provide overall leadership and coordination of provincial implementation activities, manage stakeholder relationships, oversee project delivery, monitor performance, and ensure successful implementation across all districts within the province.

Minimum Qualification: Relevant qualification in public health with knowledge of District Health and experience in the public health environment.

Minimum Experience: 5 years and above

Indicative Salary: R50,000 per month (indicative gross market rate)

Project Manager | Job Ref. No.: ProjM-(GP)

Role Overview: Plan, coordinate, monitor, and control project activities within the province, manage resources, schedules, risks, reporting, and support the Provincial Team Leader to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Minimum Qualification: NQF qualification level 7 or higher in project management.

Minimum Experience: 3 years and above

Indicative Salary: R45,000 per month (indicative gross market rate)

Training Lead | Job Ref. No.: TraiL-(GP)

Role Overview: Plan, coordinate, and deliver user training programmes, develop training materials, support change management activities, assess user competency, and ensure successful adoption of the EMR system.

Minimum Qualification: Certification in adult education and training.

Minimum Experience: 3 years and above

Indicative Salary: R40,000 per month (indicative gross market rate)

Clinician | Job Ref. No.: ClinC-(GP)

Role Overview: Provide clinical workflow support, assist with system configuration and optimisation, train healthcare workers on clinical processes, facilitate change management, and ensure the electronic medical system aligns with clinical service delivery.

Minimum Qualification: Health science qualifications registered with a recognised professional body in South Africa (HPCSA, SANC, or SAPC). Eligible professions include Professional Nurses (SANC), Medical Officers (HPCSA), Clinical Associates (HPCSA), Pharmacists (SAPC), and Allied Health Professionals (HPCSA).

Minimum Experience: 3 years and above

Indicative Salary: R45,000 per month (indicative gross market rate)

ICT Technician | Job Ref. No.: ICT T-(GP)

Role Overview: Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EMR hardware, software, and network infrastructure; provide on-site technical support; resolve user issues; and ensure system availability during implementation and post-deployment support.

Minimum Qualification: ICT relevant qualifications including A+ and N+ certification, or an ICT qualification at NQF level 6.

Minimum Experience: 3 years and above

Indicative Salary: R25,000 per month (indicative gross market rate)

General Requirements (All Positions)

  • Valid South African driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned province.
  • Ability to work in healthcare facilities across urban and rural locations.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work with digital health systems.
  • Salaries shown are indicative monthly gross market rates and may be adjusted based on qualifications, experience, and project requirements.
  • Certified copies of all relevant qualifications must be provided.
  • Proof of current registration with the relevant South African professional body must be provided where applicable (e.g. HPCSA, SANC, SAPC, or equivalent).
  • An updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) must be submitted.
  • Each proposed team member must provide a signed Letter of Commitment confirming their availability to participate in the project for the proposed contract period.
