Full job description

Medwell SA, provides comprehensive healthcare services across South Africa, specialising in home nursing, elderly care, palliative care, frail care, and assisted living solutions.

We are looking to employ a Healthcare Liaison for our Home-Based Care Division to based in the Gauteng (Centurion). The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving growth across all homebased nursing care services by developing and maintaining strong referral networks. This position acts as a vital link between healthcare providers, families, community organizations, and care teams, ensuring clients have seamless access to high-quality care within the comfort of their homes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, develop, and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, clinics, GPs, specialists, social workers, and community organizations.
  • Promote homebased nursing care services, including post-hospital care, memory care, palliative support, and other in-home health solutions, including healthcare products/supplies and assistive devices.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization, healthcare providers, and families.
  • Build strong relationships with discharge planners, case managers, and medical professionals.
  • Represent the organization at community events, wellness days, and healthcare forums.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and healthcare liaisons in other regions on campaigns promoting homebased nursing care services.
  • Regular visits to Hospital wards, Case management offices, and doctor’s practices to deliver promotional items and displays: (Brochures with stands, pens, mouse pads, etc)
  • Track referrals, admissions, and conversions using CRM systems.
  • Monitor occupancy rates and homebased nursing care client growth.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Senior Certificate, Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Healthcare Management, Nursing, Social Work or any private Medical/Hospital related field
  • 2–5 years’ experience in the private Healthcare sector with an existing network of contacts will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office

REMUNERATION:

  • R 25 000,OO per month + commission
  • Company vehicle to be provided for official use or car allowance as agreed upon.
