DUTIES (KEY RESULT AREAS/OUTPUTS)
Assist patients with activities of daily living (Physical care). Provide elementary clinical nursing care. Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self-development. Effective functioning within multi-disciplinary team. Effective utilisation of resources.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS)
Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint and knowledge of recordkeeping procedures. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills and the ability to function under pressure and as part of a team. Ability to accept accountability and responsibility and to work independently.
EXPERIENCE
Grade 1: None. Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant. Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
REGISTRATION WITH A PROFESSIONAL COUNCIL
Registration with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant.
INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
Willingness to rotate to other wards in the facility. Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
