Prolinson Wound & Wellness Clinic is seeking a compassionate, professional and experienced Wound & Wellness Nurse with experience in wound management to join our team in Krugersdorp.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care with a particular focus on wound assessment and management, IV therapy, patient monitoring and patient education.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient and wound assessments.
• Develop and implement appropriate wound-care plans in collaboration with the treating healthcare team.
• Perform wound cleaning, dressing changes and other wound-care procedures within the nurse’s authorised scope of practice.
• Monitor wound-healing progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Identify wound complications or changes in a patient’s condition and escalate appropriately.
• Administer prescribed IV treatments and therapies to patients in accordance with authorised prescriptions, clinical protocols and scope of practice.
• Establish and manage IV access where appropriately trained, competent and authorised.
• Monitor patients before, during and after IV treatment and promptly identify and respond to adverse reactions or complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of wound care and IV treatments, medications/solutions administered and patient responses.
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding wound care, IV treatment, prevention and treatment compliance.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Assist with general professional nursing duties within the clinic.
• Work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centred care.
• Comply with clinic policies, professional standards and applicable nursing requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer and administrative skills.
• Knowledge and experience with medical aid administration, including verification of benefits, authorisations and basic medical aid enquiries.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and customer-service skills.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence using social media platforms.
• Ability to create engaging digital content.
• Ability to capture grammar and attention to detail.
• Professional, reliable and able to work independently.
• Understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to work Saturdays when required.

Previous experience in medical reception, healthcare administration, social media management, digital marketing or content creation will be advantageous.

Candidates with social media/content-creation experience are encouraged to submit examples of previous work or a portfolio.
