Tech Nook is looking for a part-time general assistant to help support our growing repair and tech business. This role is ideal for a varsity student, tech enthusiast, gamer, or someone just looking to gain real-world experience and grow in a relaxed but fast-growing environment.

This is NOT a boring retail or call-centre job. No two days at Tech Nook are really the same!

Some days you might be:

• replying to customer messages and helping with quotes
• helping organise inventory, parts and consoles
• testing out retro video games, consoles and custom builds
• cleaning, testing or helping disassemble/reassemble devices
• assisting with repairs, cool custom gaming builds and workshop tasks
• helping us keep systems and admin updated
• uploading products or content to the website
• helping write social media posts or AI-assisted content
• brainstorming cool ideas for TikTok, YouTube or Instagram
• packing eCommerce orders and helping with shipping
• helping us improve the overall flow of the business
• occasionally running errands or collecting parts (if you have transport)

As Tech Nook grows, you’ll also get exposure to:

• eCommerce operations
• content creation
• YouTube/social media projects
• new tech and gaming hardware
• behind-the-scenes startup/business operations

This is a flexible role in a chilled environment, but we’re looking for someone reliable, organised, willing to learn and excited to grow with the business.

Requirements:

• Organised and reliable
• Tech savvy!
• Good communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Willing to learn
• Basic understanding of PCs/consoles and being a gamer is a bonus
• Experience with AI tools, Canva, Discord, social media or eCommerce is also a bonus but not necessary, don't worry.

Position Structure:

• Part-time / flexible hours
• Some remote work possible
• Initially focused on reducing operational/admin backlog and assisting with day-to-day business operations
