We are Laura James and we create beautiful home and garden furniture. We are currently seeking a talented video editor and content designer to join our team in Claremont, South Africa. As a video editor/designer, you will work closely with our UK-based photography team, e-commerce manager and marketing team. The role is to create fluid, elevated and stylish video content for the website, Google advertising and social media channels. You will not be filming the content but interpreting the assets and following guidelines to mould this content into seamless, stylish videos for the brand that are consistent and of a high quality.

Please note this role requires attendance to our office in Claremont. 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
 

• Edit to a high standard working across commercial, social and marketing projects. 
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to manage projects to a high standard, always adhering to Laura James Video Team workflows and processes. 
• Undertake animation and motion graphics tasks at a high level. 
• Colour correction and grading images and videos, conforming to broadcast and social standards and guidelines. 
• Sourcing audio tracks and sound mixing edits, creating well mastered tracks across multiple layers. 
• Ensuring all content is produced within brand guidelines and in-keeping with the tone of relevant Laura James channels  
• Maintain image quality while cropping, colour correcting, re-sizing and retouching of catalogue images 
• Achieve high-volume daily production goals and meet time-sensitive deadlines 
• Upload finished images to the server. 

 SKILLS: 

• Strong knowledge of Adobe software, Lightroom and relevant video editing software (essential) 
• A dynamic and innovative portfolio that demonstrates real potential. 
• Excellent time management skills to meet daily deadlines. 
• Understanding of asset delivery best practices. 
• Positive team player with the ability to collaborate with team members. 
• Highly organised and flexible with great attention to detail. 
• Ability to work independently on projects.
