We are seeking a highly organized, professional, and motivated Professional Photographer to join our dynamic team in the luxury retail sector. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based position located in Sandton, Johannesburg, and offers an excellent opportunity for a career-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, premium retail environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing high-end timepieces and fine jewelry while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative and organizational photography functions. This role requires a proactive individual with an exceptional creative mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to visualize and edit compelling marketing and e-commerce material across multiple digital channels.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive studio and lifestyle photography focusing on luxury watches and jewellery.
Edit, retouch, and visualize images and creative e-commerce assets to be used in advertisements and social media campaigns.
Utilize digital content platforms including Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva to create engaging photos and short-form videos.
Maintain strong administrative and organizational control over photography tasks, schedules, and digital asset logging.
Maintain accurate digital records, file naming conventions, asset databases, and studio documentation.
Manage photography inventory and work collaboratively with colleagues, while supporting departmental managers and contributing to operational efficiency.

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in commercial or product photography, specifically with highly reflective luxury goods (watches and jewellery).
Strong skills and experience with modern editing platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills related to photography workflows with exceptional attention to detail.
Formal level of education relating to the field; a tertiary diploma, certificate, or degree in Photography or Visual Communications is highly advantageous.
A comprehensive portfolio of work available to supply immediately upon request.
Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work efficiently under pressure to meet production deadlines.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team while taking direction from management.
Professional presentation, integrity, discretion, and a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills

Previous experience within a luxury retail or premium e-commerce environment will be advantageous.
Experience creating high-performing photographic and video content.
Own reliable transport is advantageous.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
Saturday by request

Remuneration

A competitive salary package for market related industry standards is offered and negotiable based on the successful applicant's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.
