Full job description

Deli Stationery is a leading stationery wholesaler, supplying high-quality office, school, and art products to retailers across South Africa. We are looking for an organised Merchandiser to join our team and help ensure our products are presented to the highest standards while supporting exciting marketing events and trade shows in and around Gauteng.

Store Merchandising

  • Visit assigned retail stores on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure products are displayed according to company planograms and merchandising standards.
  • Restock shelves, rotate stock, and identify out-of-stock items.
  • Remove or report damaged, expired, or incorrectly labelled products.
  • Monitor and report competitor pricing, promotions, and shelf space.
  • Take photographs during store visits for reporting purposes.
  • Build good relationships with store managers to secure better product placement.
  • Complete store visit reports and merchandising checklists accurately and on time.

Trade Shows and Events

  • Assist with setting up and dismantling exhibition stands and displays.
  • Arrange and replenish product displays during events.
  • Ensure displays follow company branding guidelines.
  • Assist customers, support product demonstrations, and maintain stock levels.
  • Reconcile stock and promotional materials after each event.

Marketing Support

  • Assist with setting up and packing away promotional materials, including banners, gazebos, and tables.
  • Represent the company professionally during marketing events.
  • Assist with transporting, loading, and unloading stock and event materials.
  • Report any issues during events to the Marketing team.

Administration

  • Provide feedback on store conditions, merchandising opportunities, and event outcomes.
  • Submit visit reports, timesheets, travel claims, and mileage records accurately and on time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Minimum of 2 years' merchandising experience in retail, wholesale, or FMCG.
  • Valid South African driver's licence.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
  • Basic computer skills.

Pay: R5 000,00 - R6 000,00 per month
