Plastic Manufacturing jobs

To operate, monitor, and maintain blow moulding and injection moulding machines to produce quality plastic products according to production schedules, specifications, and company quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blow moulding and injection moulding machines safely and efficiently.
• Set up and prepare machines for production according to product specifications.
• Check machine settings, temperatures, pressures, cycle times, and material levels.
• Monitor the production process and make basic adjustments where required.
• Inspect finished products for defects, dimensions, appearance, and overall quality.
• Identify and report machine faults, product defects, and production problems to the supervisor or maintenance team.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with machine changeovers.
• Load and handle raw materials and ensure the correct materials are used for production.
• Remove, pack, label, and store finished products according to company procedures.
• Complete production records, quality checks, and shift documentation accurately.
• Minimise material waste, downtime, and production rejects.
• Carry out routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic machine maintenance as required.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working area.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operating instructions.
• Work effectively as part of a production team and meet daily production targets.
• Report unsafe conditions and equipment problems immediately.
• Perform any other reasonable production-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating blow moulding and/or injection moulding machines.
• Knowledge of plastic manufacturing and production processes.
• Ability to read and follow production instructions and specifications.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good attention to detail and quality awareness.
• Ability to work shifts, including overtime when required.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
