A poultry processing facility in Stutterheim is seeking to employ a Production Team Leader to join our Production Department. a Successful candidate will fit best with the following criteria:

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

2 - 3 years in the same or similar role

Poultry processing experience advantageous

Supervision of Processing / manufacturing mandatory

Firm but Fair

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Yield : Weights at end product in comparison to live stock,
• Plant capacity optimally utilised,
• Ensure the quality of the end product complies with Supplier demands,
• ISO 22000 / HACCP compliant at all times,
• Ensure of continuous flow of production with minimal downtime,
• Effective managing of clean Factory within working hour,
• Training interventions to all staff,
• Proper planning of production flow from air chill line to Library/ Fresh chiller,
• Scale checks, correct weights, correct prices,
• Scale maintenance and calibration certificates,
• Clean crates into production,
• Crate wash maintenance and cleanliness,
• Birds per minute versus staff count minimum overtime,
• Food safety team member and duties related,
• Correct PPE for each department,
• Health & Safety co-ordinating within the plant,
• Allergen Management,
• Blade Control & correct procedures,
• Ensure Equipment are in good working order and condition, any deviance are to be reported to the Maintenance Manager,
• Guide Departmental Supervisors in the performance of their duties and ensure that all staff are working efficiently with minimal wastage of product, PPE, packaging and any other form of wastage,
• Ensure that staff adhere to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times,
• Ensure that orders are filled,
• To enforce firm but fair disciplinary action to all staff within the department,
• Rework of products that do not leave dispatch or are rejected,
• Ensure FIFO is maintained in library,
• Communication between primary, saless & QA,
